Early warning-at risk settings in the Admin Dashboard empower administrators to define the specific criteria that identifies a student as "At-Risk" according to discipline referrals, absences and low grades. Define thresholds for each category, name the "At-Risk" level and color code the entry to easily identify students that meet your definitions. Even schedule a daily email alert to stay "in-the-know" when a student meets "At-Risk" criteria.

To set up early warning-at risk definitions, log in to jmc Office and proceed to File > Admin Dashboard.

Step One: Click the "Early Warning-At Risk Settings" tab to begin defining your "At Risk" levels for Discipline/Referrals, Absences or Grades-Ds/Fs.

Step Two: Click the “Add Row” link in "Discipline/Referrals", "Absences", or "Grades-Ds/Fs" to establish an at-risk level.

Step Three: Select a color with the "color picker" to correspond with the "At-Risk" level.

Step Four: Enter a name in the "Level" field to define the "At-Risk" level.

Step Five: Enter a number in the "Total Referrals per Year", "Total Absences per Year", or "Total Low Grades per Year" to establish the minimum threshold that defines the "At-Risk" level.

Step Six: Click the "Save" link to add the "At-Risk" level or click the "Cancel" link to discard your changes.

Helpful Tip: Add multiple rows in each category to create a list of alert levels using consistent colors throughout to make it easier to identify at-risk students.  For example:

Step Seven: Repeat steps two through six to define all early warning-at risk levels for the "Discipline/Referrals", "Absences" and "Grades-Ds/Fs" categories.

Helpful Tip: Click the "Edit" link to edit an existing "At-Risk" level or click the "Delete" link to remove an "At-Risk" level.

Step Eight: Place a checkmark in the "Schedule Daily Alert" checkbox to receive a daily email alert when students change alert levels.

Step Nine: Enter the date or simply click the calendar icon to set the start date for email alerts.

Step Ten: Enter the time or simply click the alarm clock icon to receive daily alerts at a specified time.

Step Eleven: Enter the email address(es) of the office user(s) to receive the daily alerts in the "Email To" field.

Helpful Tip: To enter multiple users, such as guidance counselors or at-risk coordinators, simply separate each email by a comma.

Step Twelve: Click the "Save" button to save the scheduled daily alerts settings.
