Data

Manage all of your daily attendance data in Period Attendance. The "Edit Attendance" feature lets you enter absences for a day or period, provide an absence reason, determine if an absence is excused or unexcused and more. "Edit Reasons and Cutoffs" gives you the tools you need to customize absence reasons and define cutoffs for full or half day absences to ensure accurate attendance reporting. Entering, editing, and customizing absence and tardy data is quick and easy in jmc Office.

  • Edit Attendance: is your convenient and comprehensive solution for managing daily attendance. Once teachers submit their records through jmc Teacher, you have the flexibility to easily edit, add, or delete these records according to your requirements. This feature allows you to establish absences and reasons for multiple days and periods, catering to individual students, as well as for entire grades or specific activities.

  • Edit Reasons and Cutoffs: customize attendance record keeping in jmc Office to align with your school's specific requirements. This feature allows you to add or modify absence and tardy reasons to accurately reflect your school's attendance tracking system. You have the flexibility to determine which reasons should be included in the calculation of half and full day absences. Additionally, you can set the number of periods a student must miss in order to be marked as absent for a full or half day. These cutoffs can be customized based on grade levels, allowing you to tailor attendance tracking according to your school's unique needs.

Reports

jmc Office provides a diverse selection of attendance reports to keep your office well-informed and on top of attendance management. These pre-loaded reports offer valuable insights into various aspects of attendance, including daily attendance, absence and tardy reasons, lunch and attendance counts, and more. By utilizing these reports, you can streamline your attendance management process, ensuring accurate record-keeping, effective communication with families, and comprehensive monitoring of student attendance.

  • For A Day: generate a comprehensive list of all students who are absent on a specific day or any single day. This report provides a snapshot of attendance, allowing you to view all students within a specified grade range who were absent for the entire day or at least one period on that particular day. You have the flexibility to email, print, or export the report to a CSV file for future reference.

  • For Student(s): run a detailed attendance or tardy report for one or more students over a specified date range. You can sort the report based on student groups, including sequential, random, grade, or advisor, providing flexibility in organizing the data. Additionally, you have the option to further customize the report by applying filters such as date range, absence reason, and absence comments for a specific day or period. This level of customization enables you to obtain a comprehensive view of each student's attendance or tardies based on your specific criteria.

  • For a Reason: generate a report on all students who were absent for a specific reason. For instance, if you need to track the number of students absent due to a band trip, you can view all students who were absent for that particular reason within a designated date range. The report provides an overview of the absences and can be previewed or printed for future reference.

  • Absent/Tardy Check: enables you to stay on top of problematic attendance patterns by generating a report on students who meet specific absence or tardy criteria. By running this report for a specified date range, you can easily identify students with absences and tardies that match your defined criteria. The report includes details such as absence reasons, the number of absences, whether they are excused or unexcused, period or all-day absences, and other sorting options.

  • Lunch Count/Attendance by Teacher: provides a comprehensive view of teacher attendance and lunch counts. With this report, you can easily review each teacher's lunch/milk counts, ensuring accurate accounting of student meals, and view their daily or period attendance for a specific day. This report serves as a valuable tool to verify that all students are accounted for during lunchtime and that teachers are present as scheduled. You have the option to print the report or export it to a CSV file for further analysis or record-keeping purposes.

  • Form Letter: effortlessly create custom letters to communicate absences or tardies to families. Whether you need to address multiple absences or tardies, this feature allows you to generate personalized attendance letters using predefined criteria such as the number of unexcused absences or tardies. You have the flexibility to select the specific student or students to receive the custom letters and sort them based on criteria like primary contact. Once created, you can easily print and review the letters, email them directly to families, and even create corresponding discipline records, all within the same interface.
