Export student rosters to FastBridge

jmc partners with illuminate education to help schools export rosters for use with FastBridge formative assessment tools.

The Illuminate education progress monitoring platform, FastBridge and jmc work together to help prepare your teachers and students for FAST testing. With just a few clicks, you can share your jmc course rosters with FastBridge, eliminating the need to enter student data in two places. Easily export course rosters into to a CSV or text file and import them into your FastBridge site using matching criteria like Student or State IDs to utilize their screening, diagnostic reporting and progress monitoring tools.

Log in to jmc Office and head to Grading > Test Scores > Export FAST Roster to begin the exporting process.

Step One: Enter the name of your district and school building in the corresponding "District Name" and "School Name" fields to match with the display name in FastBridge.

Step Two: Select "Student ID," "State ID," or "Blank" from the "Student ID" drop-down list to select the type of data to use for matching students from jmc to FastBridge.

Step Three: Select "jmc Teacher Number," "Teacher ID," or "Teacher File Folder Number" from the "Teacher ID" drop-down list select the type of data to use for matching teachers from jmc to FastBridge.

Step Four: Select a grade level range in the "From" and "To" drop-down lists to select the students to include in your export file.

Fun Fact: Including grade "0" in the grade range reveals a series of "Grade Zero Translation" drop-down lists for matching your jmc grade "0" subgroups (such as KG, KA, KB, EC, etc.) with a FastBridge preschool or kindergarten designation.


โ€‹Helpful Tip: Select "Preschool" or "Kindergarten" from the appropriate drop-down list to match your jmc grade 0 subgroup with the corresponding FastBridge designation.

Step Five: Place a radio button next to the appropriate option in the "Race-Ethnicity" box to export jmc ethnicity data to FastBridge.

Helpful Tip: Check the "Race/Ethnicity" tab on the View Student Data page to determine if your school uses the "newer race-ethnicity codes" as indicated by checkmarks in the checkboxes or the "numeric race-ethnicity codes" as indicated with a number in the "Ethnicity (legacy)" field.

Step Six (optional): Select a "Term" and/or "Teacher" from the appropriate drop-down lists to narrow the available sections in the "Available Course Sections" box.

Step Seven: Click the course name(s) in the "Available Course Sections" box to add the course to the "Selected Course Sections" box.

Helpful Tip: Click the "Add All" or "Remove All" button to add/remove all courses from the "Available Course Sections" box to the "Selected Course Sections" box or click an individual course from the "Selected Course Sections" box to remove it.

Step Eight: Click the "Create CSV File" button or "Create Text File" button to generate a roster file from the courses identified in the "Selected Course Sections" box for upload to FastBridge.
