Printing a list of students organized by class section can be extremely helpful for an office professional to find where students are during the school day, or to let teachers know which students are enrolled in their classes for the year.

Class lists can be printed for all courses or groups of courses and with the option to include any previously entered grades and comments, which is handy to verify grades. Student photos can even be included to allow for visual identification of the students in the class.

It takes just a few steps to print a list of students in a class! Let's get started by going to Schedules > Course > Class Lists.

Step One: Select the correct term type from the drop-down list at the top of the page for the classes you'd like to view class lists.

Step Two: Select a specific class period from the "Period" drop-down list to print class lists for a specific period or select "All" for all periods.

Helpful Tip: Need to know class sizes for all the 4th period classes to make an "A"/"B" lunch schedule? Or perhaps you want to stagger your last period dismissal schedule to avoid large groups of students in the hall. Use the "select period" feature to print all students for a specific class period to get a visual of your class layout during a specific time of the day.

Step Three: Select a radio button from the term box to filter the courses in your report to a particular term.

Step Four: Select the "By Sequential", "By Random Course", or "By Teacher" radio button to identify which class lists to print. Then fill out the appropriate fields highlighted below.

  • By Sequential Course: enter a range of course IDs in the "From" and "To" field.

  • By Random Course: select one or more courses by entering the course name or course ID in the "Available Courses" drop-down list.

  • By Teacher: select a teacher from the "Teachers" list box.

Step Five: Place a checkmark in the "Grade Verification" checkbox to include any student letter grades with each student on the class list.

Step Six: Place a checkmark in the "Include Student Photos" checkbox to include student photos printed on the class list.

Step Seven: Click the "Preview" button to preview the class lists before printing.

Step Eight: Click the "Print" button to print the class lists for distribution or click the "Export" button to export the class lists to a text file for other needs.
