Run an "Assignment Summary" report in jmc Teacher

Review student performance on a category or assignment to determine next steps for instruction with the assignment summary report.

The jmc Teacher's "Assignment Summary" report provides a comprehensive view of student performance, including individual and class averages, along with maximum and minimum scores for a selected category or assignment. Accessing this information is a breeze: choose a course from your schedule, select the category or assignment of interest, and click "preview" to generate your report. To make things even more convenient, the report includes a helpful grade distribution bar graph for quick reference!

To view the "Assignment Summary" report in jmc Teacher, head to Reports > Assignment Summary.

Step One: Select a course from the "Courses" drop-down list to view categories and assignments associated with a specific course.

Step Two: Click a category or assignment name from the "Categories and Assignments" box to include in the "Assignment Summary" report.

Helpful Tip: Select a category name to display the category average or select an assignment to display the score received by each student.

Step Three: Select the appropriate radio button to indicate if the report will be listed with student numbers or student names.

  • Student Name: displays a list of scores or category averages by student names.

  • Student Number: displays a list of scores or category averages by student number to maintain confidentiality.

Step Four: Select the appropriate option from the "Sort" drop-down list to organize the report according to your preference.

  • Student Number/Name: alphabetical or by student number.

  • Percentage - Descending: highest to lowest grades.

  • Percentage - Ascending: lowest to highest grades.

Step Five (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Include Grade Distribution Graph" checkbox to display a bar graph showing the distribution of students' grades in the selected class.

Step Six: Click the "Preview" button to run the "Assignment Summary" report for the selected course, category or assignment.

Step Seven: Click the "Print" button to print the currently displayed report.
