If your teachers use the Schoology learning management system, you can help streamline their workflow by integrating Schoology with jmc. This integration enables seamless nightly syncing of data between the two platforms, ensuring that student rosters, grades, and assignments are automatically updated. By enabling the Schoology integration in jmc Office, you can save your teachers time on manual data entry while keeping information consistent across both systems.

To configure the Schoology integration in jmc Office, head to File > Integrations.

Step One: Click the "Export Now" link next to the "Schoology" integration to generate a file for importing into Schoology.

Helpful Tip: Not seeing a "Schoology" integration option? Connect with jmc Tech Support to get the Schoology integration turned on.

Step Two: Click the "Create Zip File" button to export user, course, and enrollment data from jmc into a zip file.

Step Three: Upload the jmc zip file to Schoology to sync your data successfully between the two systems.

Helpful Tip: Complete steps one through three before using the Schoology integration with jmc to ensure accurate data transfer between the two systems.

Step Four: Go back to the File > Integrations page and click the "Edit" button next to the "Schoology Import" integration to access and adjust your integration settings.

Step Five: Place a checkmark in the "Enabled" checkbox to allow Schoology files to be imported into jmc.

Step Six (optional): Enter any additional information in the "Comment" field to provide additional comments about the integration

Step Seven: Enter a time in the "Export Time" field or simply click the clock icon to select the time of day for your nightly Schoology import.

Helpful Tip: Select an export time outside of typical working hours (e.g., 11pm) to ensure all assignment grades are included in your import.

Step Eight (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Send Zip File" checkbox to receive a zip file of the import.

Fun Fact: The jmc Tech Support Team will handle the remaining integration setup, including configuring the SFTP URL, Username, Password, and Port, to ensure successful nightly data imports.

Step Nine: Click the "Save" button to update your changes or click the "Cancel" button to discard them.

To manually import Schoology data outside of the nightly import, navigate to File > Integrations and click the "Import Now" link next to the "Schoology Import" integration.

Step One (optional): Click the "Analyze SFTP File (Current Building)" button to view a detailed summary of assignments that will be imported into jmc.

Fun Fact: The SFTP file will list any assignments that will not import due to an error such as a missing assignment due date.

Step Two: Click the "Import Assignments and Scores" button to complete the data import.

Step Three (optional): Click the "Trigger Auto-Import (All Buildings)" button to import scores and assignments without receiving a detailed list of the assignments sent in the import.

Step Four: Click the "Download Results from Last Auto Import" button to view details of the most recent import, whether completed automatically overnight or manually.

Fun Fact: The downloaded results will show any assignments that did not sync successfully, helping you identify scores that need to be updated in Schoology.

Step Five: Click the "Print" button to print a copy of your import result or to save it as a PDF for further review.
