Submitting student data to the NDE ensures the state has the latest information from jmc through the Ed-Fi and ADVISER integration. Simplify the submission process using the "Update Students by Grade Level" page in jmc Office, allowing you to submit information for a specific grade level or all students at once. Review your data with the error report, address any errors, and resubmit to ensure the NDE has accurate information for adequate school funding

To begin submitting Ed-Fi student data by grade level go to Nebraska > ADVISER > Update Students by Grade Level.

Step One: Select a grade level from the "Grade(s)" drop-down list to narrow the range of student data to be sent via Ed-Fi.

Helpful Tip: If your school's enrollment is over 100 students, submit student records for individual grade levels to avoid internet connection timeout errors.

Step Two (optional): Place a checkmark in the "Delete Existing Data" checkbox to remove existing student data from Ed-Fi before sending current student data.

Fun Fact: Deleting existing data when updating student records can help clear up any persistent, unexplained errors that prevent the smooth flow of data from jmc to ADVISER.

Step Three: Click the "ADVISER Update Students by Grade Level" button to send student data to NDE for the selected grade level.

Step Four: Fix any errors displayed on the "Update Students by Grade Level Summary" report and repeat steps one through three until all data is successfully updated in ADVISER.

Helpful Tip: Click the "Print Summary" button to print a hard copy of the "Update Students by Grade Level Summary" report to reference while you fix the displayed errors, or click the "Cancel Summary" button to return to the previous page.
