As you wrap up the school year, it's essential to set exit codes for your students. This ensures that the NDE (Nebraska Department of Education) knows which students are graduating and which ones are expected to return in the fall. In jmc Office, you can streamline this process by using the "Mass Exit Students" feature to assign the appropriate exit date and code for all students in a grade level who haven't already been exited (dropped).

To begin mass exiting students, log in to jmc Office, and go to Nebraska > Year End > Mass Exit Students.

Step One: Confirm the date displayed in the "Date" field is the correct end of year date to be used as the exit date for students.

Helpful Tip: If the end of year date is incorrect, sign in to the district building and head to Attendance > Calendar > Days to adjust the "Last Day of School" field before proceeding to avoid assigning the wrong date as each student's exit date.

Step Two: Select a grade level from the "Grade" drop-down list to assign an exit date for all students in the selected grade level.

Step Three: Click the "Drop" button to perform the mass exit and assign exit codes to each student in the selected grade level.

Helpful Tip: Students in grades 0-11 will receive a code of "299 End of School Year" and students with a graduation date set will get a code of "210 Completer with Regular Diploma".

Step Four: Repeat steps two and three for each grade level to enter the appropriate drop date and code for each student in your school.

Step Five: Review the summary report for a list of attendance and enrollment history records which were updated from the mass exit process.

Step Six: Click the "Print Mass Exit Summary" button to print the report or the "Cancel Mass Exit Summary" button to return to the Mass Exit Students screen.
