Accurate management and reporting of student enrollment and program schedules are vital for securing the proper funding from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Ensure the precision of your school's reported data by configuring WISEdata reporting count dates and structuring kindergarten group schedules through the "Edit School Data" page in jmc Office. This not only guarantees the necessary funding but also showcases the quality of your educational programs to the DPI.

Configure WISEdata count dates and kindergarten Program Schedules on the Edit > Edit School Data page in jmc Office.

Step One: Enter the accurate accountability and membership count dates in their respective fields, or simply click the calendar icons to specify count dates.

  • Accountability Third Friday in September: data that is utilized to assess educational quality.

  • Accountability October 1 Child Count Date (Public schools only): data that encompasses the tally of students currently enrolled in the school and receiving special education services as of the selected date.

  • Membership Third Friday in September: data used to compute the general aid your school receives based on the student count as of the designated date.

  • Membership Second Friday of January Count Date: data requested by the DPI, used to calculate the general aid your school receives, again based on the student count as of the specified date.

Step Two: Click the “Save” button to record your count dates.

Helpful Tip: To ensure accurate enrollment reporting, consider the following when selecting your count dates.

  • If any of your planned membership count or accountability dates differ from the DPI's established guidelines, reach out to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to obtain a waiver to change to membership dates.

  • If October 1st falls on a weekend, opt for either the preceding Friday or the following Monday to adhere to the DPI's submission timeline.

  • If no dates are set, membership count dates will be autoset the first time a “WISEdata update student” or a “WISEdata update by grade level” Ed-fi submission is made.

Step Three: Click the “Edit” link next to the Kindergarten/Pre-K subgroup designation (for example KG, KA, KB, etc.) in the "Grade Level" box to edit the Grade 0 subgroup information.

Step Four: Select the "Grade Level" and "Program Schedule" information from the corresponding drop-down lists to report students with the correct subgroup.

Step Five: Click the “Update” link to save the Grade Level and Program Schedule entry or the "Cancel" link to discard your changes.
