Student enrollment spans in your school are reported to the state, so it is important to record the enrollment end date and reason for the enrollment end accurately to ensure proper state reporting. When a student's enrollment ends at your school select the date and one of the pre-defined reasons for dropping using jmc's "Drop Student" feature. jmc will make sure the data gets reported to the state correctly!
To drop a student, head to Attendance > Student > Drop Student.
Step One: Select the student to be dropped by entering the name of the student in the "Find" field.
Step Two: Select a date in the "Day" box to indicate the last day of the student's enrollment date span at your school.
Step Three: Select the reason for dropping the student using the "Drop Code" drop-down list.
Fun Fact: The list of drop codes is updated each year as NDE publishes changes so check the list to see which code best applies to the student's specific situation.
Step Four: Click the "Drop" button to drop the student.
Helpful Tip: If the student returns during the current school year, re-enter the student using Attendance > Student > Re-enter Student.
