The "Sensitive" tab on the View Student Data page in jmc Office offers a secure space to store student information that should not be accessible to all jmc users. Protecting sensitive data that is not intended for public view, this tab allows administrators to display preferred information on jmc Office, jmc Teacher, jmc Family, and jmc Student portals. Within the "Sensitive" tab, administrators can view and edit the following information: Legal Last Name, Legal First Name, Legal Middle Name, Legal Suffix, Birth Sex, Lunch Status, and Economically Disadvantaged (specific to Wisconsin). By utilizing the "Sensitive" tab, administrators can ensure the appropriate handling of confidential student data while maintaining accurate state reporting.

In jmc Office, head to the View Student Data page and click on the "Sensitive" tab to view or edit the following information:

  • Legal Last Name: a student's legal last name as would appear on their Government ID or birth certificate if it differs from their preferred name. The preferred name will be displayed on all jmc portals but the legal last name will help identify the student for state reporting purposes.

  • Legal First Name: a student's legal first name as would be seen on their Government ID or birth certificate if it differs from their preferred name. The preferred name will be displayed on all jmc portals but the legal first name will help identify the student for state reporting purposes.

  • Legal Middle Name: a student's legal middle name as would be seen on their Government ID or birth certificate if it differs from their preferred name. The preferred name will be displayed on all jmc portals but the legal middle name will help identify the student for state reporting purposes.

  • Legal Suffix: a student's legal suffix as would be seen on their Government ID or birth certificate. The preferred suffix will be displayed on all jmc portals but the legal suffix will help identify the student for state reporting purposes.

  • Birth Sex: the sex of the student assigned at birth if it differs from the student's preferred gender identity. The student's preferred gender identity will be displayed on all jmc portals but the legal gender will help identify the student for state reporting purposes.

  • Lunch Status: the student's paid lunch status describes whether the selected student is eligible for free or reduced lunch right from the View Student Data page without having to go into the lunch portal.

  • Economically Disadvantaged (Wisconsin specific): according to the state of Wisconsin, a student identified by direct certification or alternative household income that meets requirements for free or reduced-priced meals.
