With so many teachers using Google Classroom as their learning management system, jmc has found a way to make teachers' lives even easier. With a few set-up steps at the building level in jmc Office and in jmc Teacher, teachers can save time and provide top-notch feedback to their students by seamlessly importing assignments and grades to save time by reducing the need for double entry.

There are three phases to the Google Classroom Integration:

  1. Enabling the integration in jmc Office.

  2. Syncing jmc Courses to Google Classroom in jmc Teacher.

  3. Importing assignments from Google Classroom into jmc Teacher.

Enabling the integration in jmc Office

The first part of the process is to enable the Google Classroom integration. To do this, head to jmc Office and click File > Integrations.

Step One: Click the "Edit" link in the Google Classroom row to open the settings.

Helpful Tip: Don't see Google Classroom? Connect with jmc Tech Support to get the Google Classroom integration turned on.

Step Two: Set up a time for jmc to automatically pull assignment scores for all teachers from Google Classroom.

Step Three: Click the "Update" link to finish enabling the Google Classroom integration or click the "Cancel" link to exit.

Step Four: Repeat the above steps to connect each of your jmc courses with your Google Classroom classes.

Importing assignments from Google Classroom into jmc Teacher

With your jmc classes now paired with your Google Classroom classes, grades you enter in Google Classroom will automatically sync nightly with jmc Teacher. As new assignments sync into jmc Teacher overnight you can move the newly imported assignments into their proper category to ensure correct grade calculation.

Step One: Head to Scores > Categories and Assignments in jmc Teacher.

Step Two: Click an assignment name in the category and assignment list to change its associated category.

Step Three: Choose a category name using the "Category Name" dropdown list to move the assignment to the correct category.

Step Four: Click the "Save" button to save your changes or click the "Cancel" button to discard your change.
