Administrators need a way to keep track of students that are ineligible for admission to school activities based upon school policy and jmc makes it possible with the Admin Dashboard and GATE! Administrators can view a list of students by a variety of criteria, quickly enter checkmarks to designate ineligible students, and enter optional notes regarding the ineligibility to be displayed at the ticket taker entrance.

Quickly set eligibility permissions by student list in jmc Office at File > Admin Dashboard and then head to View Student Data to enter notes.

Step One: Select the "Current Term" or "Year To Date" radio button to set the time frame for filtering student information.

  • Current Term: Student summary information will only use data from the selected current term using the "Current Term" drop-down list. For example, only total absences for Quarter 2.

  • Year To Date: Summarize student information from the first day of school through today. For example, total absences so far this school year.

Step Two: Select parameters from the drop-down lists to narrow the view by a range of students, such as all active students, a specific grade level, random students, advisees of a particular advisor, students in a particular teacher's classes, or a specific activity.

Step Three: Place a checkmark in the "Ineligible Activity Entry" checkbox next to the student name you'd like to mark as ineligible to enter a school activity.

Fun Fact: The GATE ticket taker portal will display students marked ineligible when the ticket taker scans the student's ID or enters their name or ID number.

Step Four: Enter a message in the "Ineligibility Comments" box to explain the ineligibility to attend activities to be displayed in the GATE portal.

Helpful Tip: For example, a message could say: "Jordan has been absent from class more than 10 days this quarter and has makeup work still not turned in. Work with your teachers to create a plan to get caught up."

Fun Fact: Add a little pizzazz to your message using the formatting tools.

Step Five: Click the "OK" button to save your comments or the "Close" button to cancel.
