This early June release brings additions to low balance notices, the current day number display, fee definitions, along with many fixes.

jmc release updates improve the stability, performance, and security of your jmc software and include updates for jmc Office, jmc Teacher, jmc Family, and other apps that are part of the jmc software family.

We recommend updating whenever a new version is available so you always have the latest and greatest feature set.

jmc Office: New features and innovations

This month was a big month for the Office 7+ new features were added and 11+ updates were made to the State Reporting module, Attendance module, and more!

  • Added an option to send a low balance notice to a selected family at Lunch > Reports > Low Balance Notices.

  • Upgraded the current day number display on the homepage to show the day number for the current building instead of for the district.

  • A Diploma Category drop-down list was added on the Edit Student Data page and will be printed on the student transcript for graduating students for all South Dakota users.

  • Users now have the ability to custom sort the list of fees on Tuition/Fees > Data > Edit Fees using drag-and-drop functionality. Families will see fees sorted in this order on the Tuition/Fees page under the "Purchase Items" tab.

  • Added the ability to format the fee description on Tuition/Fees > Data > Edit Fees, using a variety of fonts, styles, faces, and sizes, including allowing HTML. Families can view the description on the jmc Family Tuition/Fees page under the "Purchase Items" tab.

  • Added Wisconsin > WISEdata > Student ed-fi Lookup option to see student-related resources in the portal.

  • Added colors to the school year drop-down list for all recent years.

jmc Office: New updates

  • Fixed a couple of issues on the Iowa SRI - Import Enrollment History page.

    • Importing of enrollment histories was mistakenly allowed in pre-certified software.

    • The “Import” button was enabled before the school year calendar was set up.

  • Fixed an AJAX error on Nebraska > ADVISER > Update Students by Grade Level when updating students in Grade 12.

  • Updated the wording in a warning message for Nebraska from "File Folder Number" to "NDE State ID".

  • Fixed an issue with Minnesota Ed-Fi reporting wherein special cases the school building reported in SSEPA records was inaccurate.

  • Removed an overly strict validation of the date on the Add/Drop/Reenter student pages.

  • Resolved an issue affecting inactive students when the school calendar ending date was changed during the year.

  • Addressed an issue on the Attendance > Reports > Absent/Tardy Check reporting consecutive days absent when no-school days exist.

  • For our Wisconsin users, when changing LIEP Proficiency from "7 Fully English Proficient, never ELL-LEP" to any other value and the Native language is English, we now give the user a warning.

  • Fixed an issue in the Admin Dashboard for when users try to access a student with an unscheduled course section.

  • Resolved an error on Period Attendance > Data > Edit Attendance when selecting a day and the current date is past the end of the school year.


jmc Teacher: New updates

  • Fixed an issue attempting to allow teachers to use the Message Center when it wasn’t yet configured.

  • Fixed an issue importing when an exact multiple of 100 Google Classroom scores exists.

  • Fixed an issue involving copied benchmark terms missing an end-of-term date.

  • Fixed an issue with Year grades reported for inactive students.


jmc Family: New updates

  • Resolved an issue when printing a student schedule involving study halls. The schedule format is now consistent with what appears in jmc Student.
