The key to a well functioning school system is communication and nobody knows this better than school administrators. This is why jmc has included the internal communication feature in the jmc Admin Connect mobile app. Administrators can stay in-the-know regarding student issues, concerns and comments wherever they go.

Log in to the Admin Connect mobile app to begin using the communication feature.

Step One: Tap the "hamburger" icon in the upper left corner of the home screen to access "Student Data".

Step Two: Tap the "Student Data" link and enter a student's name in the search field to find a student.

Step Three: Tap a student to access their demographic information and the communication feature.

Step Four: Tap the "Communication" icon at the bottom of the screen to view prior communication records for the selected student.

Helpful Tip: Tap the "Discipline" icon to view and add discipline records for the selected student and proceed with steps five through eleven.

Step Five: Tap the "+ Add" icon to add a communication entry for the student.

Step Six (optional): Tap the Date/Time fields to adjust the date or time of the communication if they are different from the default (current) date and/or time.

Step Seven: Enter a staff member's name in the "Reported By" field to track the source of the student information.

Step Eight: Enter the reason in the "Reason" field to define the purpose of the communication record.

Step Nine: Enter the action in the "Action" field if any measures were taken as a result of the communication.

Step Ten: Enter details about the communication in the "Detail" field to provide the office with context for the communication.

Step Eleven: Tap the "Save" button to submit the communication to the office and to store the communication in the Advisor app for your records.

Fun Fact: Accepted communication entries are stored in the student's records in jmc Office for quick review.
