A student may need to be withdrawn from a course for a variety of reasons, such as transferring out of your school or changing to a different class mid-term. Recording the withdrawal in jmc Office keeps the student's schedule up to date and updates teacher attendance and grading rosters.

To withdraw a student from a course by changing the course start and end dates, log into jmc Office and head to Schedules > Student > Edit Schedules.

Step One: Select the student to be edited by entering their name in the "Find" field.

Step Two: Click the "Student Section Details and Overrides" Quick Link to open the "Student Section Details and Overrides" pop-up.

Step Three: Click the "Edit" link beside the course you'd like to withdraw the student from.

Step Four: Enter the date the courses started in the "Course Start Date Override" field and the date the student is withdrawing from the course in the "Course End Date Override" field.

Helpful Tip: Click the "Default to MM/DD/YYYY" link to have the "Course Start Date Override" and "Course End Date Override" fields filled with the first or last day of the course term.

Step Five: Click the "Update" link to withdraw the student from the course or the "Cancel" link to discard the changes.

Step Six: Click the "OK" button on the pop-up alert to confirm that you'd like to withdraw the student from the course.

Step Seven: Click the “Close” button to close the “Student Section Details and Overrides” box.

Helpful Tip: Asterisks will appear next to the course name in the selected student's schedule denoting that he or she has been withdrawn from the course.
