This early August release brings everything new needed to get the 21-22 school year off to a great start plus a bunch of awesome updates!

jmc release updates improve the stability, performance, and security of your jmc software and include updates for jmc Office, jmc Family, jmc Student, and other apps that are part of the jmc software family.

We recommend updating whenever a new version is available so you always have the latest and greatest feature set.

jmc Office: New features and innovations

This month was a big month for the Office 14+ new features were added and 9+ updates were made to the Health module, Discipline module, and more!

  • Good news! Wisconsin state reporting features for 21-22 were added for certification and jmc is now officially certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

  • In Wisconsin use the Identity API to retrieve student state IDs on the View Student Data page.

  • Iowans, no need to feel left out. Your state reporting features for 21-22 were also added for the upcoming school year.

  • Minnesota state reporting updates for 21-22 were added such as a Digital Equity survey that families can fill out during online registration, using the student legal name with the Student State ID system, and more!

  • A Student Transfer feature to easily export and import student data when a student transfers between two jmc districts has been added to the Attendance module.

  • When withdrawing a student from a course before the end of the term, now record the date for accurate recordkeeping and teacher attendance rostering. Read "Withdraw a student from a course" to get started.

  • Uploaded forms can now be signed by students as well as families in the jmc Family portal. Learn how to "Get signable forms ready for online registration".

  • When entering a student discipline record, you now have the option to save the partially completed record as a draft and finish editing later. Read more about the "Save as Draft" button in this simple-to-follow article.

  • Health custom fields can now be marked as required for online registration and be edited in jmc Office. Learn how to get started here.

  • Schedule emails from the Message Center in a few simple steps. Learn more here!

  • The Message Center now gives an option to see a list of intended recipient contacts before sending the message. To learn how read, "Send text messages using the Message Center".

  • On the Meals Application Status page, we now sort the Processed Application list by the contact's last name for easier review in the Lunch module.

  • The Online Family registration section of the menu tree has been reorganized and simplified.

  • A new Health History category was added, Vision Spot Screener, in the Health module.

    jmc Office: New updates

  • The Mass Change Fields at District Level option now shows the grade level filter.

  • Edit period attendance no longer allows editing on days marked as no-school in the calendar.

  • Fixed a "these columns don't currently have unique values" error on the Form Signatures page.

  • Fixed an issue preventing a Reduced eligibility status from updated a student marked as Free last year.

  • Made a fix handling apostrophes in email addresses in Message Center.

  • Fixed an issue preventing the import of health custom fields from last year.

  • Fixed the Iowa Import Enrollment History to bring Resident Counties forward into 21-22.

  • Fixed an error on Edit Course Data for Instructional Minutes in Minnesota.

  • Fixed an error with attendance on Summary Labels.


jmc Family: New feature

Custom fields now have the option to skip questions depending upon a family’s answers.

jmc Family: New updates

  • Fixed an error preventing some families from reporting Digital Equity during Online Registration.

  • Resolved an issue displaying duplicate forms to sign.

  • Remedied an issue preventing the second student in a family from signing student-signable forms.


jmc Student: New feature

  • On the Student Course Registration page, the course description is now displayed in a tooltip for a better description of the course content before signing up.
