Is your school thinking about making massive changes to your schedule or revolutionizing grading practices but are afraid to disrupt your current work? A jmc Sandbox site just might be your solution! A jmc Sandbox site is an inactive replica of your school's jmc site that includes all buildings, portals, modules and current data from your site for the purpose of experimenting with jmc tools and innovations in a risk free environment.

Setting up and accessing a jmc Sandbox

Setting up and accessing your jmc Sandbox site is simple and virtually turnkey. When you're ready, just contact the jmc sales team, and they'll coordinate with support to activate your site and add the Sandbox to your site agreement. Once activated, you'll receive a URL to your district's Sandbox site, and your office users and teachers can log in with their existing credentials, enabling them to use the site without impacting any live data. It's that simple!

  • Sandbox site URL: your school's unique Sandbox URL (for example https://sandbox-yourschool.onlinejmc.com) provides access to a replica site that is completely separate from your school's existing jmc data

  • User Login: Office and teacher logins are copied from your existing site and will work for the Sandbox site in the same way as they do for the live site

  • Application Security: the "Application Security" page provides office users access and privileges for the Sandbox site

  • Teachers: teachers can access the jmc Teacher portal through the Sandbox site with privileges assigned on the Attendance > Staff > Teachers page in the jmc Office Sandbox

Using a jmc Sandbox site

A jmc Sandbox site functions similarly to your school's regular jmc site. Office staff members and teachers can train on and experiment with all available jmc tools in a low stakes environment with the freedom to make mistakes without impacting your school's live data. Try out jmc scheduling features to assemble an experimental schedule, play with different gradebook options to see how different grading features would impact a student's grades, take Tuition and Fees for a test drive and more with a jmc Sandbox!

  • jmc Office: experiment with Attendance, Schedules, Grading, Discipline and Communication, Health, Lunch, Tuition and Fees, Standards and Benchmarks, the Form Designer, jmc Family settings and the Teacher Conference Scheduler in a jmc Sandbox site without state reporting consequences or without sharing information with families

  • jmc Teacher: investigate the Scores or Competency Based Gradebook without impacting student grades and check out the tools in the Discipline, Communication, Teacher Conference Scheduler and Attendance modules in an experimental environment

  • jmc Family and jmc Student: login through the jmc Family and Student portals to experience jmc from a parent or student perspective, exploring academic, attendance, and discipline reports, as well as navigating the online registration process to understand how jmc improves communication for all stakeholders
