Did you forget to turn in that math assignment or did your grade drop below 85% in science class? Pick from a number of customizable alerts to be notified of important changes to your attendance, scores, or grades. Select if you want to receive email and/or text alerts to stay on top of your progress for the school term.

Log in to the jmc Student Portal and head to Alert Configuration to customize your notifications.

Step One: Place a checkmark(s) in the following checkbox(es) in the "Period Attendance Alert" box to receive an alert when you are reported absent or tardy:

  • Send an Email Alert when marked Absent Excused: to your student email address when you are marked with an excused absence

  • Send an Email Alert when marked Absent Unexcused: to your student email address when you are marked with an unexcused absence

  • Send an Email Alert when marked Tardy Excused: to your student email address when you are marked with an excused tardy

  • Send an Email Alert when marked Tardy Unexcused: to your student email address when you are marked with an unexcused tardy

Step Two: Click the "Save" button to save your changes to the attendance alerts.

Step Three: Place a checkmark(s) in the following checkbox(es) in the "Missing/Late Scores Alert" box to receive alerts regarding your academic progress:

  • Send an Email Alert when Missing Scores: to your student email address when a teacher publishes a class and you are missing an assignment

  • Send a Text Message Alert when Missing Scores: to your student cell number when a teacher publishes a class and you are missing an assignment

  • Send an Email Alert when Late Scores: to your student email address when a teacher publishes a class and there is an assignment marked as late

  • Send a Text Message Alert when Late Scores: to your student cell number when a teacher publishes a class and there is an assignment marked as late

Step Four: Click the "Save" button to save your changes to the score alerts.

Step Five: Enter a threshold grade percentage in the "Percentage" field for each course in the "Grade Alert" box to have an alert emailed when your grade in the course drops below the entered threshold.

Helpful Tip: Want all thresholds for your courses to be the same? Enter your percentage in the first "Percentage" field and click the "Fill Percentage Column" link to fill the percentage into all courses.

Step Nine: Click the "Save" button below the "Grade Alert" box to save changes to the grade alert thresholds.
