In jmc Office, when student information changes, you can quickly resolve state reporting errors by sending targeted data updates to Minnesota Ed-Fi using the "Update Student" feature. This feature allows you to save time and effort by only updating the specific student records that include changes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data submission without the need to update all student records.

Log in to jmc Office and head to Minnesota > Ed-Fi > Update Student to submit data for a specific student.

Step One: Enter the student’s name in the “MN Ed-Fi Update Student” drop-down list and select a student to submit Ed-Fi data for an individual student.

Fun Fact: The student’s name, state ID, grade level, jmc student ID, and the student reference number are displayed to ensure you have selected the correct student.

Step Two: Click the “MN Ed-Fi Update Student” button to submit Ed-Fi data for the selected student.

Step Three: Fix any errors displayed on the "Update Student Summary" report and repeat steps one and two until all data is successfully updated in Ed-Fi.

Helpful Tip: Click the "Print Summary" button to print the summary for reference while fixing data errors or click the "Cancel Summary" button to return to the Minnesota > Ed-Fi > Update Student page.

Step Four: Repeat this process for additional students that need Ed-Fi data submitted.

Helpful Tip: For additional support, send your error summaries to support@jmcinc.com for help diagnosing and fixing errors.
