MCCC mandates the reporting of Early Education subjects (School Readiness and Early Childhood Family Education), K-8 subjects (English Language Arts, Math, etc.), and all 9-12 subjects to ensure accurate funding for your school district. Utilize the 'Edit Course Data' page as a convenient platform to assign course codes and attributes, ensuring all relevant course information is accurately shared with the state during MCCC reporting

In jmc Office, head to the Schedules > Course > Edit Course Data to view and edit all state specific course attributes for state reporting.

Step One: Select the course to be edited by entering the course name or course number in the "Find" field.

Step Two: Click the "State Specific Section" tab to view section attributes that will be reported to the state.

Step Three: Click the "Edit" link next to the appropriate section to edit the section attributes that will be reported to the state.

Step Four: Edit the following attributes to provide course section information during the state reporting process:

  • Instructional Method: the method through which students will be receiving instruction

  • Instructional Delivery Mode (Ed-Fi only): indicates whether a course is taught in person, online or a hybrid of the two

  • Mark Indicator: defines the course section as reporting a course grade to the state

  • Virtual: indicates whether a course will be meeting virtually or in person

  • Fixed Period: defines a course as meeting at a set time each day for calculating instructional minutes from the bell schedule (in most cases the value will be "True")

  • Instructional Minutes: the total number of instructional minutes for the term

  • Instructional Language: the code for the primary language used when providing instruction for the course section

Helpful Tip: Import course data from the prior year on the Schedules > Course > Import Course data page to update all state reportable fields in jmc for the current year.

Step Five: Click the 'Update' link to save your changes or the "Cancel" link to discard them.

Step Six: Click the "State Specific Course" tab to edit the "State Course Code" and "STAR Assignment Code" for the selected course.

Step Seven: Select the appropriate code from the "State Course Code" and "STAR Assignment Code" drop-down lists to identify the course with the state.

Step Eight: Click the "MCCC" tab to view and edit course specific data attributes that will be reported to the state.

Helpful Tip: Save time editing "State Specific Section" and "MCCC" course attributes by using the "Mass Assign Course Data" feature on the Schedules > Course > Mass Assign Course/Section Data page.

Step Nine: Click the "Save" button to update course specific data.
