Submitting Start Year data for Ed-Fi takes care of the majority of student, course, and general school data; however if you have added a course to your database after the Start Year submission, you will need to update course data to ensure it is available for Ed-Fi reporting. After you have added the course on the Edit Course Data page, simply update the individual course in Ed-Fi with just a few clicks!

In jmc Office, head to Minnesota > Ed-Fi > Update Course to report your newly created course to MCCC via Ed-Fi.

Step One: Select the appropriate building from the "Building" drop-down list to access available courses.

Step Two: Select a course from the "Find" drop-down list to update an individual course in Ed-Fi.

Helpful Tip: Enter the course name or number in the "Find" field to easily search for a course in your jmc database.

Step Three: Click the "Update Course" button to complete the process of updating the course in Ed-Fi for MCCC reporting.

Helpful Tip: Update course data and fix Ed-Fi reporting errors throughout the school year for new and existing courses to avoid getting bogged down as state reporting deadlines approach.
