jmc release updates improve the stability, performance, and security of your jmc software and include updates for jmc Office, jmc Family, and jmc Teacher. We recommend updating whenever a new version is available so you always have the latest and greatest feature set.

jmc Office: New features and innovations

  • Good news for schools! Now they can include student attendance information on the transcript. This new feature eliminates the need for printing additional documentation.

  • To prevent errors, an update was made to the bulk loading of fees and credits in the next school year. Bulk loading can only occur after importing fee account balances from the prior year.

  • Students who have completed CPR training will now have a CPR Completion designation printed on their transcript in Iowa.

  • No need to leave the Edit Course Data page to manage how a course fits into the credit checker. The Graduation Credit Checker information about a course has been added to the page for easier management.

  • Administrators can now turn on 2-Factor Authentication for all years, not just the current school year.

  • Searching for a student or a contact in jmc just got easier! The View Student Data page now matches search results based on many more fields of data, such as name, ID, locker, license plate, email address, state ID, and cell phone number. Similarly, on the Edit Contacts page, matching is now more robust with fields such as name, email address, physical address, and phone number included in the search. These updates make it faster and more efficient to find the information you need in jmc.

jmc Office: Updates

  • In the case of two Primary contacts, a student no longer has to sign the same form in jmc Family at both homes, eliminating redundant signing. Signing the form at either home counts as signing it at both, making the process more streamlined for families.

  • For two-day parent-teacher conferences, families were being identified as “not signed up” when sending emails. The office professional can now select both conference dates to accurately identify families not yet signed up for either date, making it easier for schools to keep track of conference attendance.

  • An issue was fixed when printing Direct Certification Notification letters where the supplied date range filter was not being honored, ensuring that the letters accurately reflect the selected date range.

  • An issue preventing uploading of a second medical emergency plan was addressed, giving families and schools greater flexibility in managing student health information.

  • Fixed an issue when emailing report card forms to an entire grade level where any additional email attachment was not being sent, making sure that all necessary attachments are included.

  • Fixed an issue on the Fee Payments and Fee Account Payments reports in the case where deposits were made to both the student account and the fee contact account. In rare cases, one or the other deposit was included on the reports. Now all deposits are accurately reflected.

  • Fixed a minor printing overlap issue on transcripts when both a long course name and an optional comment were included, improving the readability of transcripts.

  • Fixed a date sorting issue for some dates on the Drop/Add report, making sure that dates are sorted correctly.

  • In Iowa, changed the wording on the Benefit Issuance List from “Food Assistance” to “SNAP” as requested by the state, ensuring compliance with state requirements.

  • When including comments on Period Attendance reports, the General Comment from the Edit Period Attendance page will now print on the reports, providing additional context for attendance records.

  • Attendance notification phone calls are now listed in the External Communication Log, giving schools a more complete record of communications with families.

  • Fixed an issue when merging pending health submissions for a family with students in two separate buildings, ensuring that health information is accurately reflected in all buildings.

  • The Membership Count report has been updated to include students identifying as gender X, making sure that all students are accurately counted and included.

  • In Wisconsin, when a student enrolls or leaves a school during the year, the start and end dates of their scheduled classes are updated to match, ensuring that student schedules are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Updated the ASVAB test importer to match the latest published test results file format, ensuring that test results can be accurately imported and managed.

  • Addressed an issue on the Absent/Tardy Check report where, in rare cases, the number of consecutive days of absence was incorrect, making sure that attendance records are accurately reflected.

jmc Teacher: New features and innovations

  • Using the Flex Scheduler in jmc Teacher just got even better! The number of students enrolled in and the capacity for each staff offering will now be displayed in the offerings dropdown list.

  • Teachers can now easily export a list of families or email all families of students in an offering using the newly added Email button and Export button to the Flex Scheduler in jmc Teacher.

jmc Teacher: Updates

  • In jmc Teacher on the Assignment Scores page, tweaked when the days met are displayed for clarity, making it easier for teachers to view and manage assignments.

jmc Family: New features and innovations

  • When viewing student progress reports in jmc Family, families can now filter their view to the current term, reducing the amount of information visible and making it easier to concentrate on the student’s current progress. This update should help families and students focus on their current performance and goals.

jmc Family: Updates

  • In jmc Family, an issue was addressed when printing teacher conference schedules with virtual conferences assigned, ensuring that conference schedules are accurate and complete.

jmc Point of Sale: New features and innovations

  • The Point of Sale software now has an added layer of security with the utilization of 2-Factor Authentication for logging in to the software.
