Even if schools choose not to enable scheduled updates for Ed-Fi, they can still submit WISEdata throughout the school year to keep school, student, and discipline data up-to-date with the Wisconsin DPI. Visit the "During the School Year" page in jmc for step-by-step guidance on manual WISEdata submission. This allows for error correction along the way and simplifies the final state submissions. Follow the tasks on the "During the School Year" page to manually submit your data to the WISEdata portal.

To update your school's data with the Wisconsin DPI, head to Wisconsin > WISEdata > During the School Year in jmc Office.

Step One: Click the "General" tab to access the items that are to be completed during the school year.

Step Two: Click the first enabled button on the "General" tab to begin uploading school and student data to the DPI.

Step Three: Fix any errors displayed on the "During the School Year Summary" report and repeat steps one and two until all school and student data is successfully updated in WISEdata.

Step Four: Repeat steps one and two for each enabled button sequentially until all "General" school items are updated with the DPI.

Step Five: Click the "Students" tab to view instructions for submitting student data to the DPI.

Step Six: Click the "Discipline" tab to view instructions for submitting discipline data to the DPI.

Helpful Tip: Click the "Ed-Fi Settings" link on the File > Administrator Options page in jmc Office to configure scheduled updates for Ed-Fi submissions and avoid the hassle of manually updating WISEdata during the school year.
