The jmc Coach/Advisor mobile app is a valuable resource for aiding coaches, directors, and other leaders of student organizations in communicating with students and families. Nonetheless, we recognize that mobile devices can be unpredictable and come with their own obstacles. Hence, we have created this concise guide to troubleshoot any issues you may encounter while using the jmc Coach/Advisor app, allowing you to maximize its potential.

How can I get the mobile app on my device?

The jmc Coach/Advisor mobile app is available on tablets, mobile phones and iPads using the Android and Apple operating systems.

  • For the best experience, ensure that your device's operating system is updated to the latest version to enhance application download and performance.

  • To make room for the jmc Coach/Advisor app, it's recommended to remove any unnecessary files and unused applications.

  • Search the App Store or Google Play Store using the search terms "jmc", "jmc Coach", jmc Advisor", or "jmc Coach/Advisor" to find the application for download.

What is my pin code?

To connect with your school district through the jmc Coach/Advisor app, you need to enter a four-digit pin code. Once you've entered the code, your district will be located, and you can save it for future reference.

  • Your school's four-digit pin code, which is utilized for all mobile apps, corresponds to the district client number available on the login page of your district site.

  • If your district client number is only three digits, add a zero in front of the number to create the four-digit pin code required for the app.

  • To locate the pin code, check the Family App Settings page in jmc Office or look in the upper right-hand corner of the jmc Family homepage.

I can never remember my username or password! Help!

To secure your jmc Coach/Advisor account, you must create a unique username and password in jmc Office.

  • If you're a teacher in jmc, utilize your jmc Teacher username and password to access the mobile app.

  • If you're experiencing difficulty logging in, please contact the front office professional at your school to retrieve your login credentials.

  • To simplify the login procedure, take advantage of the biometrics feature, which allows you to use your device's facial recognition or thumbprint security technology.

I do not see my club, organization or roster. How do I find them?

Your school's front office professional is responsible for creating the definition of your school's clubs or organizations and adding the first batch of students to the roster through the Activities module in jmc Office.

  • It's recommended to contact your school's front office professional to confirm that your activity is properly defined and that you're listed as the Coach/Advisor.

  • Once you have access to an activity, as a Coach/Advisor, use the app to add students directly to your roster, or manage the rosters in the Activities module in jmc Office.

What is the difference between communication and messaging?

The jmc Coach/Advisor app equips leaders of student organizations with both internal office communication tools to monitor individual students and external messaging tools to connect with families and students.

  • Records of communications added for individual students are accessible across jmc Office, jmc Teacher, and the Coach/Advisor app, providing the internal team with important student details.

  • The messaging tools included in the Coach/Advisor app enable users to send emails, text messages, or text-to-voice phone calls to either the entire roster or individuals.
