The Send Messages page is where communication comes to life. Choose your audience, pick the message type, and decide whether to send now or schedule for later. With flexible options for email, text, or calls, you’ll always have the right way to reach your community.
Log in to jmc’s Community Messenger, then go to Messages > Send Messages to get started.
Step One: Click the + button to expand the Message title row, then enter a searchable title in the Message title field to name your message.
💡 Helpful Tip: The Send Messages page uses + buttons to expand or collapse sections, helping reduce clutter and save space on the page.
Step Two: Click the + button to expand the Add Recipients row, then select a radio button to choose who will receive your message:
All contacts: Send the message to everyone in your directory.
Select contacts: Choose individual contacts from your directory.
Select groups: Choose one or more predefined contact groups.
💡 Helpful Tip: If you need to modify your recipient list, click the x next to a contact or group to remove it from the message.
Step Three: Click the + button to expand the Message types row, then select the message type(s) you want to send.
Step Four: Click the Compose message button, then complete the fields for your selected message type(s):
Email: Enter a custom message with a Reply-to address, Cc or Bcc addresses, Subject, message body, and attachments. Use the formatting tools provided.
Text: Enter a text message. If it exceeds 105 characters, it will be sent as a link to ensure delivery.
Text-to-voice phone call: Enter a text message to be delivered as an automated voice call.
Recorded phone call: Upload or select a pre-recorded message to send to recipients.
✨ Fun Fact: Community Messenger can send multiple message types at once—like email and text—so you can reach families through their preferred method.
Step Five: Click the + button to expand the Timing row, then choose the Send Now radio button to send immediately or the Send Later radio button to specify a date and time for your message.
💡 Helpful Tip: A checkmark appears next to each message category once it’s complete, giving you a quick visual cue that all required information has been entered.
Step Six: Click the Preview button to see your message in the exact format it will be received.
Step Seven: Click the Send button to send your message, the Edit link to modify its content, or the Cancel link to start a new message.
Step Eight: Click the View message progress button to review your message progress or click the OK button to exit.
