What security controls does Guardian provide?

Updated over a week ago

Guardian Core

Baseline protections for Onramp Core and Private clients - designed to defend against loss, theft, compromise, and social engineering.

  • AI & deepfake protection - Integration with biometric and behavioral verification tools to detect fraud attempts and impersonation.

  • Withdrawal delays - Adds a critical time buffer to catch fraud, revoke access, or respond to coercion.

  • Withdrawal freeze - Clients can temporarily disable BTC withdrawals from their account if they suspect unauthorized access.

  • Lloyd's of London insurance - Third-party validated coverage against collusion, negligence, or compromise.

  • Guardian disclosure option (coming soon) - Visible account indicators showing that Bitcoin cannot be accessed instantly, even under duress.

Guardian Private

Available to Private clients, Guardian Private extends the core protections with customizable, client-defined controls for large balances and generational wealth.

  • 365-day withdrawal freeze - Prevent BTC withdrawals for a one year duration. Disabled only via an in-person visit to an Onramp branch office.

  • Velocity controls - Set a maximum withdrawal limit per month to prevent large withdrawals.

  • 3FA protocol - Onramp proprietary optional withdrawal control that uses PIN-based logic to authenticate a transaction without touching Onramp’s digital environment.

  • Named insurance riders & custom coverage - Optional higher limits or named policy additions for institutions and fiduciaries.

  • Client-controlled withdrawal delays (coming soon) - Custom hold periods on a per-wallet basis.
