OnTrack provides two types of updates to keep you informed about your events:
Alerts (Critical & Mandatory)
Alerts are related to the Incidents Module and emergency updates
If you need to be added or removed from specific alerts, please contact the account admin.
Notifications (Customizable & Optional)
Notifications provide updates for the Event Module, Tasks Module, and communications between users via ‘@name’
In this guide, we will show you how to customize your Notifications.
To get into the Settings Page click your username, then click 'Settings'
On the left side of the Settings page, click on 'Notifications'. It'll expand into the 2 areas supported by notifications which are Events and Tasks Module
Event Plan
Within the event plan page, you can choose to receive notifications from three distinct variables. Simply toggle them ON and select the SMS and/or Email buttons to customize how you’d like to be notified.
Additionally, if you were the requester of a event you will receive an email once that event is approved by the OnTrack team
Tasks Modules
Similarly to Events, the notifications for the Task Modules follow the same procedure. Toggle them ON and select the method you'd like to receive this notification by. For the Tasks Module, you also have the ability to utilize Push Notifications if you are using the OnTrack CORE app (iOS / Android)
Alerts
These are the instances in the system that could send you an alert to your phone and/or email (if subscribed)
Users are notified when dispatched to an Incident.
Users are notified of new comments on Incidents they are dispatched to.
Users are notified of new images on Incidents they are dispatched to.
Users are notified when an Incident matches an active alert by Type they are assigned to.
Users are notified when an Incident matches an active alert by the Priority to which they are assigned.
Mentioning
Mentioning works the same way as a lot of social media pages, by starting with the "@" symbol. A dropdown menu with a list of users will appear, and you can type to narrow down the list. This feature is currently active in the Event Details Page (see below) and in the comments of tasks within the Task Module.
