Downloading from onX

From the onX mobile app

To export GPX files on your mobile device, follow these steps:

  1. Tap My Content from the navigation menu at the bottom of your screen.

  2. Tap the Select button.

  3. Select the markups you want to export. You can either tap the markups directly on the map or select the checkboxes within the Select Content box.

  4. Scroll right on the buttons at the bottom of the screen and tap Export.

  5. Save or share the file to the desired destination on your mobile device.

If you have your markups organized in folders, you can export entire folders by tapping “My Content,” selecting the folder(s) you want to export, and scrolling right on the buttons at the bottom of your screen until you see “Export.”

From onX on desktop

To export GPX or KML files on a computer, follow these steps:

  1. Select My Content from the left navigation menu.

  2. Click Select

  3. Select the markups you want to export. If you’re exporting a lot of markups, you can speed things up by choosing Select All. Or, if you have your map positioned to show the relevant markups, turn on Only list content visible on screen.

  4. Click Export

  5. In the box that appears, choose whether you want to export your data as a GPX or KML file (see the section below for GPX vs. KML considerations).

  6. Click Save.

Downloading from Google My Maps

  1. On your computer, sign in to My Maps.

  2. Open a map.

  3. In the left panel, click Menu More and then Export to KML/KMZ.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Importing into onWater Fish

  1. Send the spatial file to the Files app on your mobile device. Check to make sure it's in the right place:

  2. Open the onWater Fish app.

  3. Tap on the Saved tab, then tap on Import

  4. Find the desired file and tap to upload.

  5. Find and customize your newly uploaded waypoints anytime by tapping on the Saved tab.

You can also upload spatial files from the Settings menu, scroll down, and tap 'Upload Geospatial File'.
