Lake Depth Contours

See underwater terrain with HD Depth Charts from Garmin®.

Identify drop offs, ledges, channels, points, and shallow flats.

Use with waypoints and routes to mark passes, troll lines, and structure to revisit.

What is it?

High detail SonarChart™ HD bathymetry with depth contours as fine as one foot where available. Charts are updated from official sources and boater contributed sonar logs, but they are not real time. Depth contours and bottom relief help you read the water, choose the best route, and focus on areas where fish will likely be feeding.

How to use it?

Open the Layers Menu, toggle on HD Depth Charts from Garmin®, then zoom in on a lake to reveal fine contours. Follow tight contour lines to find steep breaks, trace channels to plan safe lines, and use points and flats to lay out troll passes. Drop waypoints on edges and bends you want to fish again, and save routes so you can repeat productive paths.

Where it's available

Available on select lakes. Contour density, coverage, and maximum resolution vary by waterbody. One foot contours where available.
