Map Layers and Legend

Explore blue lines, get away from the crowds, and discover new watersheds.

The Layers Menu allows you to customize your map view so you can focus on the information that matters most when planning a trip or on the water. To open the Layers Menu, tap the button circled in the screenshot below:

You can choose from 3 Basemap styles. The "Outdoors" style includes topographic contour lines for easy elevation reference:

Scroll down and tap on the categories to see our various overlays, including the popular Lake Depth Layer:

Public and private property parcels are styled in translucent green and red polygons respectively:

The onWater Fish Rivers and Lakes overlays help you find great fishing off the beaten path. This layer includes hundreds of thousands of streams up to 4th-order waterways. More are revealed as you zoom into the map.

The Layers Menu doubles as a map legend! Scroll down to see what Points of Interest and saved content icons look like on our maps or toggle them off to focus on the points that matter most to you:
