If using propane with your Ooni Koda 12, a small amount of smoke/soot can be expected. Ooni Koda 12 has been designed to burn cleanly once it has reached top temperatures, however propane will still naturally give off a small amount of smoke/soot.
If using butane with your Koda 12, you can expect to see slightly more smoke/soot than you would when using propane. Cleaning your Ooni with a dry paper towel or rag once it has cooled is all it takes to remove this.
If you’re noticing more smoke/soot than you think is normal, contact our team and we'll be able to help.
