Creating Resilient Classrooms

Embedding mental health support into every classroom

Updated over a year ago

Open Parachute's brand-new professional development series, Creating Resilient Classrooms, can be found in the Educators & Caregivers section of the Dashboard.

Creating Resilient Classrooms features seven practical and highly effective professional development modules that provide educators with the opportunity to comprehensively explore the β€œwhy” and β€œhow” of supporting students' mental health in day-to-day classroom practices.

Educators will be inspired and equipped by this professional development series that has been designed to intentionally weave mental health into every aspect of their classroom, regardless of their assigned content area or grade level.

Each module is approximately 15-25 minutes in length and is self-paced. Through videos and narration, educators will hear from a variety of diverse experiences and powerful perspectives from fellow peers. Each module concludes with a classroom challenge and a self-care challenge. Modules that can be completed as a campus, team, or independently.

By completing these seven modules sequentially, students and teachers will positively transform their relationship with mental health and will learn to consistently prioritize their overall well-being at school and at home.
