Adding a New Field Section

This article explains how to add or customize the Field Sections used in your transactions.

What is a Field Section?

A Field Section is a group of similar Fields. Field Groups contain one or many Field Sections, and Field Sections contain one or many Fields. Think of it as Field Groups -> Field Sections -> Fields.

For Example:

A Field Group could be titled Details. Within the Field Group named Details, you may have Field Sections titled Property Details, Inspection Details, Financing Details, Appraisal Details, etc. Within the Field Section named Financing Details, you might have fields titled Financing Type, Loan Approval Status, Loan Amount, etc.

Adding a New Field Section

To start, go to the hammer icon and select Field Editor.

Use the Field Group button to choose the group you want to create the section for. Directly below that button will be the header for the Field Group. Find and click on the Add Section link.

A side panel will open to the right of the column where you can enter the name of the new section. Click on the Add Section button to have it appear in the left-side column. Now you can add the fields that relate to that Field Section.
