Importing Task Templates

Step 1:

Go to the Templates menu from the hammer icon and select New Import.

Step 2:

From the Import Type dropdown, choose Task Template.

Step 3:

Enter the name of your template.

Step 4:

Click Locate Spreadsheet to grab your spreadsheet from your computer and click the Upload Spreadsheet button.

  • Task Name (Title) - the title of your task

  • Description - this is your internal details from your task list

  • Exclude From Summary (private) - instead of typing the word “yes” please type the “1” instead

  • Pinned - instead of typing the word “1” please type the word “yes” instead

  • Critical - must be "1" or "yes"

  • Recurring - add a number to reopen your task after it closes.

  • Color - type the color label of your task and ensure that you will use small letters to render the color properly.

Step 5:

Simply choose a "field type" for each column. Once finished, click Finalize Import.

Please note, that you can only map your data to these fields.

Delete Import Task Templates

  1. From the hammer icon, go to Templates and click All Imports.

  2. Look for the import spreadsheet that you want to remove and click the DELETE link button.

  3. Type the word “DELETE” inside the box and hit the DELETE button.

Important:

Once the spreadsheet is deleted, all content in the import WILL BE REMOVED and cannot be retrieved.


Pro Tip: Only give manager-level organizational users authority to delete imports in your permission settings.
