OpenTab is a marketplace-style app that lets you open and close tabs at your favorite restaurants—right from your phone. After you download the app and create a quick account with your name and phone number (or Sign in with Apple), you’ll see participating U.S. restaurants listed and ready to go. Add a payment method once, and you’re set for future visits.

Behind the scenes, OpenTab connects with the same professional POS systems restaurants already use—like NCR Aloha, PAR Brink, Dinerware, Micros Simphony/3700, POSitouch, Squirrel Systems, XPIENT, and Simphony First Edition/Cloud—so your tab stays in sync with your server. A typical visit is simple: open the app, choose the restaurant, confirm your payment method and default tip, swipe to open a tab, and order as usual. Your check updates in near real time as the team rings things in. When you’re done, swipe to close and head out—no waiting for the check, no card handoff.

Tip: Let your server know you’re using OpenTab when you sit down or belly up to the bar. It helps them match your tab instantly.
