Connecting OpenTab to Toast can be done in just a few clicks. We'll walk you through the process below. If you have questions, please reach out to toast@joinopentab.com.
1. Login to Your Toast Admin
To start your OpenTab installation, we will begin in Toast. This is where we'll grant OpenTab access to your selected locations.
2. Select "Integrations"
In the bottom left of your screen, you will see a button titled "Integrations". Click this button.
3. Select "Browse and purchase integrations"
This will take you to Toast's integration marketplace.
4. Search for and select OpenTab
OpenTab can also be found in the Mobile Pay section.
5. Read the terms and conditions and confirm
Confirm the data access and terms and conditions. Please reach out to toast@joinopentab.com or your Toast account manager if you have any questions.
6. Navigate back to OpenTab and select "Locations"
If you need to setup an OpenTab account, reach out to sales@joinopentab.com.
7. Select "Add Location" in the top right
If you have already added a location, you can simply select the location you'd like to add your integration to.
8. Select "Toast" as your POS provider
This is where we'll initiate the connection in OpenTab.
9. Copy your OpenTab Organization ID
If you have already connected OpenTab to your Toast Group, all locations associated with your Group should show automatically. If they are not showing, please reach out to toast@joinopentab.com.
10. In your Toast Integration page, select "Configure Integrations"
The OpenTab app will show up on this page.
11. Select the gear icon next to the OpenTab app
We're almost there!
12. Paste your OpenTab ID into Toast under Group ID
Of note, it is important to paste your OpenTab ID into the "Group ID" box and not the "Location ID" box. Pasting your OpenTab ID into the wrong field will cause the integration to fail.
Click "Apply" when done.
13. Head back to OpenTab and select your location
You may need to refresh your screen for your newly connected locations to populate.
Note: By keeping the "Automatically create locations using Toast data" setting, all of your applicable information will be mapped over to OpenTab from Toast in an instant - no manual setup required!
Click "Create Location" in the bottom right of your screen.
14. Add your images
Add a logo and cover image to your restaurant in OpenTab so they show correctly in the app.
15. You're done!
