User guide for USDT Purchase from Merchant

This article will guide you through the whole process for purchasing USDT on ONRAMP

When you purchase USDT by using ONRAMP, you are required to get KYC approved first. This article will guide you step-by-step through the whole process.

Filling Out Card Information

Once you are redirected to ONRAMP from Merchant, you will have to fill out your credit/debit card information and your email address as shown below. Ideally, the email is the same as registered with Merchant. Do please make sure that the email is reachable, and not a temporary one, as all invoices and KYC notifications will be sent to this email.

Once all information is filled in, "Deposit" button will become clickable. Please click it to move on to the next step.

Right after "Deposit" button is clicked, 6 digit code will be sent to email inbox.

Enter the 6 digit code that is sent to the provided email address.

Click "Continue"

KYC Verification

After "Continue" button clicked, you will be guided to Personal information and KYC documents uploading page, please note that KYC has 3 different levels depends on deposit amount you have input, you can find those documents required for each KYC level as below.

KYC level 1

  1. Photo ID. (Passport, Driving License, MyNumber Card, Residence Card, etc.)

  2. Selfie

KYC level 2

  1. Photo ID. (Passport, Driving License, MyNumber Card, Residence Card, etc.)

  2. Selfie

  3. Proof of address. (Residence certificate, utility bill, bank statement, etc.)

※ A proof of address must contain your name, your address, and the document's issued date that is no longer than 3 months.

KYC level 3

  1. Photo ID. (Passport, Driving License, MyNumber Card, Residence Card, etc.)

  2. Selfie

  3. Proof of address. (Residence certificate, utility bill, bank statement, etc.)

※ A proof of address must contain your name, your address, and the document's issued date that is no longer than 3 months.

4. Source of Wealth, Card Possession questionnaire

Here you have the options to submit your KYC from either your PC or mobile phone.

Please note that one of the verification steps is for you to perform a liveness check; therefore, your device must be equipped with a camera.

To change your device during your KYC submission

You can switch from using your PC to mobile phone by selecting "Continue on phone"

You have the options to either scan the QR code or use the link to continue with the verification process.

You can also switch back to use your PC by clicking "Continue using this device".

To submit KYC

Select "Continue on this device".

Identify your residential country. Then click "Continue".

Provide your personal information and click "Continue"

Select the issuing country and the type of the Identity Document then click "Continue"

Please prepare the selected identification document for verification.

Here are some tips for you to ensure a successful submission:

  • All information could be read easily.

  • Avoid submitting blurry photos, photos with flash reflection or with dark shadow on it.

Select "Continue" to start Liveness Check.


Follow the instructions appearing on the screen.

3.Proof of Address(if required)

Provide your address details then click "Continue" .

Select the type of your prove of address and upload the file.

4.Source of Wealth, Card Possession questionnaire (if required)

Fill out questions in the questionnaire, upload the document, then click "Continue"

While this screen is displayed as "We are processing your data", our system is conducting a check on the information you have provided. Please keep the screen open; we will give you a guidance in case a resubmission is required.

ONRAMP Customer Service Team will perform the KYC Verification.

Once the system completes the verification of the provided information, our support team will conduct a final review.

It usually takes 5-15 minutes to complete the KYC check; however, it could take longer than that during high-traffic periods. There is no problem to close the window and come back later.

As soon as the verification process is done, you will receive an email showing the verification result and a URL link to take you back to the purchase page, from which you can continue.

Once your KYC is approved, your screen will be displayed as follow

Once KYC is approved, you will be able to purchase USDT start from Merchant website.

When your KYC is approved, you will receive an email.

Please note that after a certain amount of time, this URL link will expire. In that case, you will need to restart the process from Merchant website to purchase USDT

Incase your KYC document(s) is rejected, you will be requested to re-submit your document(s).

You will also receive an email telling you which document is rejected, along with the rejection reason. you could go back to the KYC page where you can re-upload your document(s).

*Please note that after a certain amount of time, this URL link will expire.

In this cases, kindly request the merchant to guide you through the purchase process, it will switch to the KYC resubmission screen.

FAQ:

  1. Do I need to get my KYC checked every time I try to make a transaction?

    No. This KYC Check is only a one-time process. Once you get it approved, you are not required to repeat it every time you make a transaction. If by any chance we need more information regarding your KYC, we will reach out to you via email.

  2. What happens when my KYC gets approved?

    1. If you keep the window open until your KYC is approved, it will automatically redirect you to the purchase page where you can continue the payment process.

    2. If you close the window before your KYC is approved, the payment process will be paused until you go back to continue. By clicking “Click here to continue your purchase” from the email you received from us, you would be brought back to the page where you can continue your payment. Please note that after a certain amount of time, this URL link will expire. In this case, you have to restart the process from Merchant website.

  3. What happens when my KYC is rejected?

    You will be redirected to the document uploading page with a red bar, at the top of the page, where you can find the reason why it is being rejected. This time, you are requested to submit the document that does not pass the KYC check only.

    At the same time, you will also receive an email telling you which document is rejected, along with the rejection reason. By clicking “Click here to finish your KYC resubmission” from that email, you would be taken back to the page where you can re-upload your document(s).
