Using your Multiple Choice block to filter or segment your results
When a participant selects an answer in a Multiple Choice question on your survey, they are automatically tagged into a group that you can later use to filter your results and compare segments. For example, this could let you compare what's most important to your Free users versus your Premium customers. For more info, check out our guide to segmentation on OpinionX.
How do I change Multiple Choice blocks to allow multiple answers?
When setting up your Multiple Choice question, you'll see a dropdown menu called "Selection Limit." Switching from "Pick One" to "Pick Many" will allow participants to select multiple options when completing this section of your survey. You'll also be able to set a minimum and maximum number of options that participants can pick when answering the question:
Once you've enabled "Pick Many" and set your min/max, this is how it will appear to participants on the survey:
Can I let participants write in their own "Other" option?
Yes! OpinionX has a feature that lets you show an "Other" option at the bottom of your list which turns into a textbox when selected. This can be enabled via the block settings menu (⚙️) during your Multiple Choice question setup.
