Tags are a universal entity that we use throughout the system in order to add dimensionality and context to the data they are associated with.

A Tag is just text but when it is associated with a response, for instance, a Not Safe tag shows us that the response was out of range and unsafe.

Common uses for tags are:

  • To describe the reporting/management hierarchy of a location.

  • Group items together for reporting.

  • To assign users to locations through user filters.

  • To provide more information about questions and inspections and group them together.

  • To describe unsafe, unsatisfactory, and critical responses (we will go more in-depth on all of these subjects as you progress through the training).

Tags are the work horses of the OpsAnalitica Platform and they provide us with an easy way to manage the platform and add context to entities.

By the end of this section, you will be able to create, edit, manage, and tag items using the tagging system.
