This is only a brief overview of user tags, we will go over them more in-depth later on when we learn about users, user filters, and hierarchies

  • Users are generally tagged with 1 hierarchy tag at the location, region, or all locations level of the business.

    • These tags when matched with user filters and location tags associate the users to the locations they are responsible for managing.

    • Tagging users is part of how we ensure that users only see the data they should see on the platform.

  • Users can be tagged with other informational tags in addition to their hierarchy tags.

    • We have some organizations that tag auditors and then combined with rules we can ensure that only auditors submit audits or can edit audit answers.

  • In order to add a user tag, Select Admin on the left side dashboard and then select Users.

  • If you have already created the tag, you can start typing that tag name in the box labeled Tags, and it should appear

    • Once you see it, click on it and it will be added to the user.

    • If there are two options for the same tag name, you should select the bottom option, which is the option that already exists in the system.

  • You are also able to create a new tag while in the user if it doesn’t already exist.

    • To do so, type out the full tag name into the box titled tags, and once you are done, click on it in the dropdown that appears

    • If you create a new tag while in the user, it will only be saved if you save that user, otherwise it will not be

  • Users should generally only be tagged with one tag to associate them with their level in the reporting hierarchy.

    • Location users should be tagged with their location tag.

    • The above store users should be tagged with a tag associated with their district or region.

    • Corporate employees who work with all locations should be tagged with All Locations.

    • You are not limited to these tags, you can add more as well to build out the hierarchy, but these are necessary in order to maneuver the platform correctly.
