Creating Location Filters

By the end of this section you will know how to create and tag Location Filters, as well as how to assign them.

  • To view your Location Filters, go to the navigation bar and select Admin, then Filters.

  • To the right of the navigation bar, you will see Location Filters and User filters listed, select Location Filters.

  • To create a new Location Filter click the red button in the top right-hand corner that says “+ New Filter”

    • From there you can name the filter and add the appropriate location tags.

    • You can only have one tag per box, so to add additional tags all you have to do is select the black plus sign to then add another tag (a use case for this would be if you want a specific checklist to be seen by multiple locations instead of just one)

      • From there, you can choose to have it so it is tagged with the selected tag, or not tagged with it.

      • The "Or Else" option on the dropdown means one or the other

      • The "And Also" option on the dropdown means that they have to be tagged with both - Usually you will tag users with the level they are at and not all of the tags so you wouldn’t want to use this

  • Where you use the Location Filters in the OpsAnalitica Platform:

    • Checklists: you can apply a location filter to a checklist and that checklist will only be available to the results, locations, in that filter.

    • Checklist Schedules: you can apply a location filter to an individual schedule inside a checklist, so that the schedule is available to the results, locations, in that filter.

      • Ex: You have a small number of 24-hour-a-day locations, you may create a location filter for those locations and apply it to the overnight schedule.

    • Reports: Location filters can be used to filter reports to only show data for the results, and locations, of that filter.
