Editing checklists are easy in the OpsAnalitica Platform. There are a couple of things you need to be aware of before you start:

  • You cannot delete questions once they have been saved, you can only make them inactive.

    • How do you know if a question has been saved?

      • It will have an ID in the upper left corner.

    • How do you know if a question hasn't been saved yet?

      • It will not have an ID in the upper left corner.

      • It will have a delete button, a trash can, in the upper right corner.

  • If you are editing a question's text, don't change the meaning of the original question!!!!

    • In the system, the current text of any question applies to all past answers.

    • If you change the meaning of the text in a question the past answers might not make sense.

    • Example:

      • Original Text: Is the apple red?

      • New Text: Is the apple green?

      • That is a completely different question.

    • What do you do if you don't want the current question and you want to replace it with a different question?

      • Make a copy of the current question and put it where you want.

      • You turn off the original question by making it Inactive.

      • You edit the new question and you click save.

  • When you edit a checklist and hit save it goes live to the entire organization.

    • This includes people who are using the checklist currently in the field.

Editing a checklist is just like creating a checklist in that you can add questions to categories and obviously you can change question text, rules, point value, labels, etc...
