We apply tags to Stocks and ETFs and Themes if they experience an unusual gain or loss. You can opt-in to receive updates from your Watchlist.

How do we calculate an Unusual Gain or Loss?

Unusual Gain:

If today's price change exceeds twice the typical daily fluctuation, it's tagged as an unusual gain.

Unusual Loss:

If today's price change falls below twice the typical daily fluctuation in the opposite direction, it's tagged as an unusual loss.

Typical daily fluctuation is measured in percentage terms from the previous day's closing price.
