Depending on your starting point, there are several ways to get USDC in your wallet on Arbitrum. Below, we will go over three of the most common scenarios.
Centralized Exchange
Step 1: Buy USDC
Buy USDC on the exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, KuCoin, etc) using your preferred purchasing method for your crypto.
Important: Be aware that if you use Gate.io exchange, this platform is withdrawing into a different type of USDC than what you need on Arbitrum. So we advise you to try other exchanges first for this purpose and if you want to use Gate regardless, understand that extra steps will be involved to acquire the correct version of USDC on Arbitrum.
Next, Send assets from your on-chain wallet that you want to trade for USDC to your preferred exchange and swap it for USDC.
Step 2) Withdraw To Wallet
Find the Withdraw(al) feature on your respective exchange platform.
Afterward, you will need to withdraw the USDC and select Arbirtum as your network of choice for your wallet. The below example shows the withdrawal function on KuCoin Mobile.
