Opulous Rewards Explained

Opulous has created a way for fans and participants to engage with music in unprecedented ways. Through various innovative models, fans can interact with products to earn rewards generated directly through the artists and music they love.

There are various products in the Opulous suite through which you can participate.

MFT Rewards

A Music Fungible Token, or MFT, allows fans and participants to earn MFT Rewards on the blockchain from music.

It was developed with a few goals in mind. Allowing artists to raise money and fund their careers outside of the current monopoly that is the music industry, as well as letting their fans earn rewards from the song's success from streams, downloads, film features, game features, and much more, and providing unique perks varying from sale to sale.

Earnings from MFTs are made available for claiming at the beginning of every quarter.

OVAULT Rewards

OVAULT is a liquid staking pool that allows you to participate in a collection of music deals and receive consistent rewards. We use the staked USDC to acquire music catalogs and provide advances to musicians. We then collect the rewards from these deals and add them to the pool. Learn more about OVAULT here.

As mentioned above, Opulous uses the USDC in the pool to acquire two types of music deals:

Music Catalogs: An expertly curated music library featuring hits by legends such as Prince, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion, as well as contemporary global superstars like BTS, selected for consistent revenue generation.

Music Advances: This feature offers artists upfront capital based on predicted revenue determined by current earnings. Facilitated through our partnership with Ditto Music, an award-winning distribution company supporting over a million artists globally.

OVAULT Rewards are based on the earnings collected from the music deals and are distributed to users in the withdrawal queue each month.

The APY (Annual Percentage Yield) provides an annualized estimate of these rewards as a percentage of your staked USDC. This APY is variable, depending on the performance and rates of the music deals collected.
