When you migrate your tickets from Algorand to Arbitrum, you may notice that you receive fewer tickets. This happens because we’ve implemented the same rules for all users staking on Arbitrum to ensure fairness across the platform. You’re not losing any tickets; instead, we are equalizing the ticket generation rules to be consistent for every user, no matter which blockchain they are using.
We’ve introduced a new ticket generation model that eliminates the influence of fluctuating OPUL prices. This means that whether you stake $100 worth of OPUL today or a year from now, you will receive the same number of tickets. This approach ensures that users are not impacted by the timing of their purchase, whether during a market peak or dip, creating long-term equity for everyone.
The same rules apply to new users staking on Arbitrum. If you move your OPUL over and stake on Arbitrum, the tickets you generate will be multiplied by the current OPUL price, making it fair for everyone, regardless of market conditions. This system ensures that no group has an unfair advantage based on when they join the platform.
Ultimately, while it may seem like you have fewer tickets, your chances of winning remain the same because everyone, whether migrating from Algorand or staking new OPUL on Arbitrum, has experienced the same reduction. This system guarantees that all users, new and existing, have a fair opportunity to participate in drops. Without this equalization, long-time Algorand users would dominate the rewards, discouraging new users from joining and limiting the growth of the Opulous ecosystem.
