What is Additional Products?
This module adds a customizable field to the checkout box, allowing merchants to offer services like Shipping Protection or Gift Wrapping. It can also be customized to any additional service via the Products section.
⚠️ Important Note:
The feature works by creating a new product in your store with the name equal to the type that you choose. Thus the product will be visible from the store front.

How to set it up?
Navigate to the Additional Products tab inside Cart Drawer section.
Select the additional product you want to offer (Shipping Protection or Gift Wrapping).
The Title and Description will auto-fill based on your selection.
Price Settings
Fixed Price: A set amount charged for the additional product.
Percentage Price: A dynamic charge based on order value.
Initial Amount: The minimum charge, applied if the calculated percentage is lower than this value.
Percentage of Order Value: The percentage of the order total to charge.
Incremental Rates: Adjusts the charge in increments (up to 99 values). Each variant defaults to an increment of $0.5.
This additional product will create a product with 100 variants in your store with the formula:
Final Charge=Initial Amount+(n×Incremental Rate)
(n = ordinal number of the variant closest to the percentage of the order value)
Example:
Shipping Protection is 10% of the order value, with a $5 minimum and $5 incremental rate.
If the order is $2995, the charge would be $300.
Advanced Options
Default status as ‘On’: Automatically selects the additional product when adding items to the cart.
If you set up the additional product to follow percentage price, "Default status as ON" feature will remain activated automatically when a product is added to the cart.
However, when the additional product is already in the cart, adding new main products may result in increases to the price of the addons. As a precaution, the feature will be turned off in the cart to allow guests to reconsider their decision to add additional products.
Include in Rewards Counting: If Rewards Counting is set to Product Counting, the additional product will contribute +1 to the rewards bar.
Click "Save" to finalize the setup.
