What is Free Gift?
The Free Gift feature allows you to offer free complimentary items to customers based on specific purchase conditions. You can set up free gifts to show in customer's cart when they meet one of the following criteria:
Minimum Spend Amount – e.g., Spend $100, get a free gift
Minimum Purchase Quantity – e.g., Buy 3 items, get 1 free
Specific Products or Collections – e.g., Buy any item from the TEE Collection collection, get a free item
Common used case
Example 1: Offer a free tee when customers spend at least $100.
Example 2: Offer a free tee when customers buy at least 3 items.
Example 3: Offer a free tee when customers buy an item from TEE Collection.
Steps to set up a Free Gift Offer
Step 1:
Access Free Gift Feature
From the app’s navigation menu, go to the Cart Editor tab. This will open the Cart List page. Click on the cart you want to edit to begin making changes.
Select Free Gift module in the feature menu.
Step 2:
Configure Free Gift Offer
Start by creating the first free gift offer. Click the Create Offer button.
Choose one of the following trigger types to determine when the free gift is offered:
Minimum quantity of items – e.g., Buy at least 3 items
Minimum purchase amount – e.g., Spend at least $100
Specific Products/Collections – e.g., Purchase from the TEE Collection
Choose the free gift.
Click Create offer to save your setting.
Step 3:
Set up Free Gift Settings
Settings include:
Limiting total number of free products in cart.
Trigger free gift based on the total value of original (pre-discount) price.
Check the box next to the setting(s) you want to apply.
Step 4:
Enable feature and check how your free gift works on the storefront
Click Enable to turn on the feature.
In store front: Add products to the cart until the minimum requirement is met.
Check if the free gift option appears in the cart.
Manually add the free gift item to the cart.
Notes: If you encounter any issues where the free gift is not appearing on your storefront, please follow these steps:
Check feature activation: Ensure that the Free Gift feature is enabled in the app settings.
Check free gift availability: Make sure the free gift item is in stock and available for purchase in the online store.
