Reporting: Organization Tab

This article explains how to use the Reporting Dashboard’s Organization tab to understand training performance and identify where to focus next.

Written by Ben Brunken

For: Admins and executives

The Organization tab gives Admins and executives a top-down view of how training is performing across the business. Use it to spot where things are on track and where to focus next.

Reach and Engagement is where to start. It shows your key baseline metrics side by side, so you can quickly see whether your program has the foundation it needs before digging into outcomes.

💡 Before you dive in:

  • Set your targets first. The dashboard measures metrics against your benchmarks for adoption, completion, accuracy, engagement, and feedback. Update them in Reporting Settings →

  • Some sections only appear if enabled. Compliance must be purchased through the Opus Marketplace. Task Lists is an add-on. Employee Tenure requires an HRIS integration. If a section is missing, reach out to your CSM.

Reach & Engagement

Your starting point. Before looking at outcomes, check whether your program has the foundation it needs: are the right people on the platform, and are they engaging?

What's included:

  • Adoption: % of your employee count with an active Opus account

  • Assignment Completion: % of assigned training completed

  • Manager Engagement: % of Managers active in Opus in the last 30 days

  • Trainee Engagement: % of Trainees active in Opus in the last 30 days

  • On-Time Task Lists: % of scheduled task lists submitted on time

Start at the company level, then drill down by brand, region, or location. Every level shows the same metrics so comparisons stay consistent.

💡Adoption and engagement are your leading indicators. If those numbers are low at a location, completion and accuracy will follow. Start here before diving into anything else.

New Hire Onboarding

Tracks the average number of days it takes a new Trainee to complete new hire training, compared to industry benchmarks.

What this tells you:

  • How your onboarding speed compares to industry benchmarks

  • Whether new hires are getting productive faster

💡 The onboarding window is configurable. Go to the gear icon in the top right of the Reporting Dashboard to update the New Hire Onboarding setting and define what counts as new hire training for your program.

Consistent Operations Across Locations

Shows whether teams are putting training into practice day to day.

What you'll see:

  • On-time task list submission rate across all locations

  • Task lists submitted, with a 30-day comparison

  • Check-ins completed, with a 30-day comparison

What this tells you:

  • Whether operational standards are being followed consistently

  • Whether Managers are reinforcing training through check-ins

💡 All metrics include a trend indicator showing whether performance is improving or declining vs. the previous 30 days.

Employee Tenure

Shows the percentage of new hires still employed at 30, 60, and 90 days, by hire cohort.

What this tells you:

  • Where early turnover is happening and when

  • Whether training is improving retention over time

💡 Requires an HRIS integration. This widget only appears if your HRIS sync includes both a start date and termination date for each employee record. Learn how to set up your HRIS integration →

New Store Openings

Tracks training performance for new store openings so you can see how prepared new teams are from day one.

What this tells you:

  • Whether your NSO training program is setting new locations up for success

  • How NSO performance compares across openings over time

💡 This report relies on self-reported data. Admins can view recently added locations and add an evaluation score.

Compliance

Shows the percentage of your team compliant with each configured compliance training, plus a count (e.g. 80 out of 100). Drill into the Compliance assignment completion report for more detail.

What this tells you:

  • Where compliance gaps exist before an audit surfaces them

💡 Compliance widgets only appear for compliance training purchased through the Opus Marketplace. This section does not include custom compliance training. Learn more about Compliance →

FAQ

Can I drill down from the company level to a specific location?

Yes. The Reach and Engagement table starts with averages of all locations. Click into any row to drill down through brands, regions, franchises, and individual locations.

How is adoption calculated?

Adoption is the percentage of active employees with an Opus account. Without an HRIS integration, it's based on the per-location employee count you configure in Reporting Settings. Your CSM can help get that set up accurately.

How is employee tenure calculated?

Employee tenure is tracked from hire date, measuring whether users are still active at 30, 60, and 90 days. The data reflects a rolling month-on-month snapshot over an approximate 5-month look-back period.

What counts as new hire training?

Any training assigned within the onboarding window you've defined in Reporting Settings. Update the window at any time via the gear icon in the top right. Learn more here.

Can I set or see new hire hire training trends by role?

You cannot set trends by role at this time, but we welcome feedback and suggestions on how to make reporting useful for you. Please share suggestions with your CSM or support@opus.so.

Can I export data from this tab?

Individual reports and tables can be exported as a CSV. You can find these in the sidebar on the left.

What if I don't see Employee Tenure or Compliance?

Employee Tenure requires an HRIS integration. Compliance only includes purchased compliance training through the Opus Marketplace.
